Welcome to the forefront of campus evolution, where every brick laid is a step towards shaping the academic landscape. From revitalizing dining spaces to crafting cutting-edge research labs, our projects are more than just renovations—they’re a testament to commitment to progress. Take a look!
Upper Prospector Renovation
Prepare for a comprehensive overhaul of Upper Prospector’s 17,652 square feet of dining space, situated at the academic hub of campus. This transformation will see the area revamped into a dynamic food hall, featuring sought-after dining options. The redesigned layout also will serve as versatile spaces for study, collaboration and social gatherings. Additionally, dedicated areas will be allocated for student meetings and functions. Alongside these enhancements, the renovation project will address crucial needs by upgrading aging mechanical systems, kitchen equipment, and ensuring compliance with ADA regulations and building codes.
Estimated completion date: Aug. 1, 2025
Residence Hall Phase 16
The new six-story, 147,000-square-foot residence hall is located in the South Village residential area of campus. The hall is designed with the first-year student experience in mind and its design includes traditional double-occupancy rooms for up to 676 residents and their resident advisors. Rooms are supported by shared bathrooms, study areas and lounges on each floor. The building also has a community kitchen, laundry room, game tables, an office and living space for housing and residence life staff. The hall will be officially named and announced this spring.
Dedication coming soon
Softball Locker Rooms and Offices
This Softball facilities project will provide locker rooms, coaches offices and a team room for the women’s softball team. Additional locker space is needed to accommodate more student-athletes in the NCAA Division 1 program. The expansion will allow current space to be vacated and used for a future women’s sport.
Estimated completion date: Spring 2025
Cameron Second Floor Renovation
The second floor of Cameron Hall will be renovated to provide space for chemistry research labs and is funded by the sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) program. The renovation also will address significant deferred maintenance needs, life-safety, ADA compliance and other building code deficiencies. The project includes all lab casework, fixed lab equipment, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems needed for a functioning lab.
Estimated completion date: Summer 2025
