Wow, what a week! Niner Nation Week: Homecoming 2023 was an absolute blast, and we’re still riding high from all of the Niner pride. From bustling social gatherings and unforgettable reunions to tantalizing tailgates and energetic parties, we hope you had a fantastic time celebrating with fellow Niners.

Old friends and new connections! Alumni, you brought the nostalgia and the fun. Thanks for joining us to celebrate your alma mater and share your stories.
Uptown Celebration:
With Bank of America’s Founders Hall serving as our playground, the buzz was electrifying at our Uptown Celebration. Special guests, along with the Pride of Niner Nation Marching Band, ignited the community’s spirit and brought boundless energy.
Campus Entertainment
From cord wars and Comedy Shows to Stroll Competitions and the Homecoming Block Party, there was something for everyone to enjoy during the week.
Good Seed Service Project:
At Niner University Elementary, 150 volunteers transformed the landscape. A big thank you to Lowe’s Companies Inc.; Mecklenburg County; UNC Charlotte students, faculty, staff; and master gardeners Reggie Singleton and Bill Sloan.
Homecoming Game:
Homecoming game day was filled with excitement, camaraderie and 49er pride. The festivities began with serious tailgate action, with alumni, students and Charlotte fans coming together to root for the Niners as they took on Navy.
The Golden Niner:
Senior Kenan Moore was chosen as the Golden Niner, an esteemed symbol of honor and recognition that belongs to the student who most exemplifies the spirit of core values of UNC Charlotte. Congratulations to Kenan and all of the Niner Nine!
Black Alumni Chapter Sneaker Ball:
The tunes were pumping, and the dance floor was on fire! Sponsored by Truist, the 2023 BAC Sneaker Ball was an unforgettable night of rhythm, style and celebration, where the beats never stopped.
Remember, it’s not just about the events — it’s about the people. We love our Niner Nation community, and your enthusiasm made this week unforgettable. Thanks to everyone who joined us!
